A prestigious hospital in Los Angeles County is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join their Surgical Center. The ideal Medical Assistant must be flexible and able to float between offices in El Segundo, Torrance and San Pedro.
As a vital team member, you will provide exceptional patient care and ensure smooth operations. Duties include greeting patients, taking vital signs, administer immunizations, review current medication, draw and prepare lab work and specimens, maintain and prepare exam rooms.
Pay Rate Range: $23.00/hr.
Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00AM – 5:00PM
City: El Segundo, CA (must be flexible to float to satellite offices)
Medical Assistant Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office; 2+ years in an outpatient surgical center preferred
- Proficiency in blood draws/phlebotomy; Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Knowledge of medical insurances, referral processes and benefit plans is preferred
- Experience with EPIC/CS Link; EPIC EMR is preferred
- Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited college
- Current BLS certificate
